The importance of Agriculture in India is realized by everyone when Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second prime minister of India gave the slogan of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’. India is a country of farmers and orchards.
Most of the people of India have adopted Agriculture as their occupation. There are several acres of land that are used only for the cultivation of different crops like tomatoes, potatoes, rice, wheat, sugarcane, apples, etc. That is why Agriculture is good to take as a profession.
Some of the population there do not consider agriculture a reputed profession. This is really shameful thinking. You can live without other things like mobile, etc but not without food. So, this is the field where you also are working for a living in society.

The importance of agriculture in economic development is huge. The Agriculture sector plays a vital role in the Indian Economy. Agriculture contributes about 16% of the total GDP. India exports a large number of agricultural materials like fruits, vegetables, pulses, tea, spices, etc and the government is acquiring good revenue from it.
There are many exporting products in which India is leading the world like tea etc. So, it is also making India proud in the sector of agriculture.
Most of the part of the money circulates for food items purchasing which is good for financial growth and balance.

Agriculture in everyday life is very important because it is the source of living. Agriculture is a profession that is close to nature. It gives us peace and satisfaction besides income. Agriculture is the sector that demands a lot of water for irrigation. This is a profession that mostly depends on the weather. If there would be less water supply then it can lead to crop crashes. Also, heavy rainfall can destroy the crop. So, good farming methods and modern techniques of farming can help farmers to overcome these problems.

- Try to store water. Make some storage tanks or ponds. It will store the rainwater in it and there will be no shortage of water in the future.
